Vocational Evaluation

Vocational evaluation is a comprehensive process to determine the vocational potential of individuals with disabilities.

Many employability factors such as work attitude, physical tolerance, basic reading and math skills, level of personal and social adjustment, and learning style are assessed. Results are based upon observation, standardized testing, and situational assessments, either in the community and/or in facility-based programs, as appropriate. Useful information is generated for the individual's own knowledge, Individual Education Plan (IEP) development, transition planning, vocational training program placement, and job placement. Recommendations for job accommodations and guidelines to support the individual for success are also included.

Location & Hours of Operation
Location 101 East Avenue, Erie, PA
Hours 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday
Hours can be flexible to meet the needs of the individual, if scheduled in advance.

The evaluation can be scheduled for up to 20 days. Evaluations can take place in any of our facility-based programs in Erie, Corry, Girard, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh. A Community Based Work Assessment can be part of the evaluation if requested. Options are available for those in need of residential placement during the evaluation.
